ABOUT US - MEET THE TEAM
Who are the people who will help make your dream day come true? Here you can meet the team and learn a little about them.
The Gray family bought Sparth House in 2013 and since then each family member has been involved in the business at some point. Even our family dog, Luna, is in the house on a weekly basis making sure we are all doing as we should!
THE WEDDING TEAM
Our Wedding Team is made up of Olivia, Katie & Emma. Olivia is a member of the owning family and is also Director of Sparth House; whilst she doesn’t have many of her own couples anymore, she is still there on wedding days. Katie is our Wedding and Events Manager and Emma is our Wedding Coordinator - you will meet either Katie or Emma at your show round and they will be your wedding coordinator and contact throughout your journey.
OLIVIA - SPARTH HOUSE DIRECTOR
I am so proud of what we have built since we bought Sparth House. The house and business is unrecognisable from the one we inherited and that is completely down to the responsibility we feel to this beautiful 1740 building and the legacy it deserves.
As a team, we love hosting weddings and family events. To be such a fundamental part of these special memories is a huge honour and responsibility. We are constantly looking at ways to improve Sparth House and our offering to ensure we are always giving our full commitment to our wedding couples and their families.
As we approach the milestone of owning the house for a decade, we are as excited and driven as ever of what the future holds for Sparth House!
KATIE - WEDDING & EVENTS MANAGER
Why do you love working with weddings?
I get to help bring someone's most special day to life! It’s the perfect balance for my love of being creative yet organised and over the last few years my passion for helping create dream wedding days has grown and grown. I especially love it when our couples have a vision for their wedding and then we see it come to life on the day, especially when they do something that little bit different!
I've honestly never had a job that gives you so much job satisfaction - being able to fulfil my couple's dreams for their wedding day and seeing the happiness on their faces when we have given them the best day possible really makes it all worthwhile.
What makes Sparth House special?
Working for a venue that is family run means that all our weddings are filled with so much love and care. We genuinely love what we do and it shows!
EMMA - WEDDING COORDINATOR
Why do you love working with weddings?
I love meeting new couples and getting to know them throughout their wedding journey. Each couple is different and has their own tale to tell on how they met and got engaged and it is such a privilege to be chosen to become such an important part of their love story. I'm a hopeless romantic and although weddings can be so many things, they are always romantic in their own unique way. There are so many emotions on a wedding day, nerves and excitement being the most prevalent. Being the one to guide a couple through that and having them trust you completely is one of the favourite things about what I do.
What makes Sparth House special?
As an exclusive use wedding venue, you know our attention is solely on you and your wedding. With the entire house and gardens just for you and your family, you can really make your wedding unique to you as a couple and your family can truly make themselves at home. I have never worked for a team that cares so intently about what they do, it's inspiring to be a part of and makes every wedding at Sparth House incredibly special.
THE CHEF TEAM
Our Chef Team is made up of Calum, Head Chef and family member and Emma, Chef de partie. They are responsible for creating the menu for your special day and it’s delivery on the day.
