One Georgian house. One wedding at a time

Sparth House is a family-run Georgian wedding venue in Clayton-le-Moors, Lancashire, close to the Ribble Valley and within easy reach of Manchester. Built in 1740, the house has been part of countless celebrations over the years and was proudly named England’s Exclusive Wedding Venue of the Year at the 2025 English Wedding Awards.

Your wedding spaces are private to you throughout your day, with the house, gardens and team focused on making everything feel personal, relaxed and beautifully looked after. Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony or a larger celebration for up to 100 day guests and 200 evening guests, Sparth House works beautifully because it was built as a home, not a function venue.

With 16 bedrooms, our Garden Apartment and the option of a fully exclusive overnight experience, you can shape the celebration around what works best for you and your guests.

Come and see Sparth House for yourself. A private visit takes around an hour — just you, your partner and our team, at your own pace. We will walk you through the house, show you the ceremony and reception spaces, look at the bedrooms and Garden Apartment, and talk through how your wedding could work here.
