Welcome to our Lancashire Wedding Venue
Sparth House is an award-winning Lancashire wedding venue set in a Georgian manor house in Clayton le Moors, near Accrington. The venue hosts up to 100 daytime guests and 200 evening guests on an exclusive-use basis, with 16 on-site bedrooms and a two-bedroom Garden Apartment for the night before your wedding.
Of all the wedding venues in Lancashire, Sparth House offers something rare: a Georgian manor house run by the family who care for it, where every wedding has the option of full exclusive use of the house and gardens. Couples choose us because no two weddings look the same here, and because the day stays warm and personal from the first viewing to the morning-after breakfast.
Our in-house wedding planners, Olivia and Emma, work with you from your first ideas through to the final dance. Together with our Head Chef Calum and the wider team, we plan, host and look after your day in-house, so the people you meet at your viewing are the people who run your wedding.
With photogenic landscaped gardens, a Garden Apartment for the night before, 16 guest bedrooms, and an experienced team who treat every wedding as if it were their own, Sparth House has earned a place on couples' shortlists across the county.
Recognised by the Industry Since 2018
Sparth House was first named North West Wedding Venue of the Year at the English Wedding Awards in 2018. Most recently, in 2025, the venue was named Exclusive Wedding Venue of the Year for England at the same awards. Recognition in between has included the Hitched Wedding Awards in 2022 and 2023.
The recognition reflects what couples tell us after their day: the venue feels special, the service is personal, and the team genuinely cares. It is the same combination of setting, food and people that keeps Sparth House on shortlists across the North West.
What Makes Sparth House Different
A lot of wedding venues in Lancashire are hotels, contemporary barns or summer only venues; Sparth House is none of those. We are a small, family-run Georgian manor house on the edge of the Ribble Valley, open to just one wedding at a time. That means the whole house, the gardens, the bedrooms and the team are yours from the night before to the morning after.
For couples who want a wedding that feels personal rather than processed, who want to recognise the faces planning and hosting their day, and who want the freedom to use the venue at their own pace, Sparth House sits in a category of its own.

Three Ways Couples Celebrate at Sparth House
Sparth House works for different couples in different ways. Whether you're looking for an intimate small wedding, a Georgian manor house setting, or full exclusive-use of a private venue, the pages below go into more detail on each.
A small, intimate celebration
For couples planning a smaller celebration of close family and friends, our intimate wedding venue page explains how Sparth House works for smaller weddings and what's included.
A Georgian manor house wedding
Sparth House is one of a small number of original Georgian manor house wedding venues in the county. Our manor house wedding page covers the building, the period features, and how the house works for ceremonies and receptions.
An exclusive-use wedding
Every wedding at Sparth House is exclusive-use as standard. Our exclusive-use wedding venue page explains exactly what that means in practice and why couples increasingly choose it over hotel weddings.
Why Sparth House Sits on Couples' Shortlists
Choosing a wedding venue in Lancashire is one of the biggest decisions of your planning, and Sparth House sits high on shortlists for good reasons. The venue is family-owned and family-run, so the people who answer your enquiry are the people who will be there on your wedding day. Our packages are honest and upfront, with pricing published in advance for 2026, 2027 and 2028.
The setting does the rest. A Georgian manor house, acres of landscaped gardens, 16 bedrooms for your guests, in-house catering by our Head Chef Calum, and a team who have spent years making this venue work for couples across the region. Whatever your wedding looks like, we've almost certainly hosted one like it before.
If you're comparing your shortlist, the easiest next step is to come and see Sparth House for yourself. Show rounds are private, no-obligation, and run by the team who will be looking after your day.
