Sparth House is an award-winning Lancashire wedding venue set in a Georgian manor house in Clayton le Moors, near Accrington. The venue hosts up to 100 daytime guests and 200 evening guests on an exclusive-use basis, with 16 on-site bedrooms and a two-bedroom Garden Apartment for the night before your wedding.

Of all the wedding venues in Lancashire, Sparth House offers something rare: a Georgian manor house run by the family who care for it, where every wedding has the option of full exclusive use of the house and gardens. Couples choose us because no two weddings look the same here, and because the day stays warm and personal from the first viewing to the morning-after breakfast.

Our in-house wedding planners, Olivia and Emma, work with you from your first ideas through to the final dance. Together with our Head Chef Calum and the wider team, we plan, host and look after your day in-house, so the people you meet at your viewing are the people who run your wedding.

With photogenic landscaped gardens, a Garden Apartment for the night before, 16 guest bedrooms, and an experienced team who treat every wedding as if it were their own, Sparth House has earned a place on couples' shortlists across the county.

Sparth House was first named North West Wedding Venue of the Year at the English Wedding Awards in 2018. Most recently, in 2025, the venue was named Exclusive Wedding Venue of the Year for England at the same awards. Recognition in between has included the Hitched Wedding Awards in 2022 and 2023.

What Makes Sparth House Different

A lot of wedding venues in Lancashire are hotels, contemporary barns or summer only venues; Sparth House is none of those. We are a small, family-run Georgian manor house on the edge of the Ribble Valley, open to just one wedding at a time. That means the whole house, the gardens, the bedrooms and the team are yours from the night before to the morning after.

The perfect place for the night before your big day with 5 of your closest friends. With 2 bedrooms, a large dining and living room, 2 bathrooms, private kitchen and walk in wardrobe, you will have lot’s of space for getting ready for your walk down the aisle.
