Jodie & Shaun’s Unforgettable Day
A WEDDING TO REMEMBER
Jodie and Shaun’s big day was on a lovely September day in 2021. After having postponed multiple times, it was incredibly special to finally host their incredible wedding. They were a dream to work with and a pleasure to have here at Sparth House.
Their day was all about fun - from start to finish it was smiles, laughter and dancing all round! The whole day was captured by the lovely CTR Photo.
THE NIGHT BEFORE
Jodie and her bridal party stayed the night in our fabulous Garden Apartment. Our Garden Apartment is exclusively yours for you and your bridal party the night before your wedding.
It’s the perfect place to get ready, enjoy a glass of fizz and have some incredible photos. It really sets off the wedding perfectly.
CIVIL CEREMONY
The Sheelan’s chose to have live music to feature throughout their ceremony with music from Ross Johnson and Bethany Sing.
Our ceremony room was dressed by the wonderful Hedgehogg Florist and featured garlands with candles and blossom trees. The bride also added her own petals to the aisle.
Newly married and looking as happy as ever, the new Mr & Mrs Sheelan had their friends and family gathered together at the front of our beautiful house for a big group photo before heading into the house for a Bucks Fizz drinks reception.
The drinks reception also featured music from the amazing Alex Birtwell. Alex started the day as he meant to go on and had everyone up dancing and enjoying themselves right from the start!
WEDDING BREAKFAST
The entertainment from Alex continued into the wedding breakfast with music throughout and games between courses. We’ve never seen people have so much fun during the wedding breakfast!
Table centrepieces and the backdrop were by Hedgehogg Florist and the blossom trees from the ceremony room were also added.
Travel was the theme with tables named after places the couple had visited over the years; with a matching globe guestbook!
They chose to start their wedding breakfast off with the speeches, featuring speeches from the Maids of Honour, the Groom and Best Man.
The couple chose the below menu for their guests and includes the best (according to the Bride) sticky toffee pudding ever!
Leek and Potato Soup
Roast chicken breast, roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy
Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream (a huge wedding favourite here!)
EVENING RECEPTION
Once bellies were suitably full, the party continued with more entertainment from Alex Birtwell.
The couple added large light up letters to the room, spelling out Mr & Mrs Sheelan and evening guests were treated to an evening buffet and cupcakes.
