Stacey & Luke’s Wedding
Stacey & Luke’s Autumnal Wedding!
As far as wedding couples go, Luke and Stacey were one of the most relaxed, chilled couples we’ve ever had. And a big part of that was that they trusted us in what we do to ensure their day went off without a hitch and so they didn’t worry about any of those ‘little’ things.
THE NIGHT BEFORE…
“I chose to spend the night before the wedding in the Garden Apartment with my Mum and bridesmaids and everything from the decor to the food and drinks was amazing and it was a really relaxing way to start the wedding day. Our make up artist and photographer kept commenting on how lovely the space was and we all really appreciated everyone coming to check on us (me) throughout the morning.”
THE STYLING…
With rich forest greens and touches of black, Luke’s and the groomsmen suits were a lovely dark green tweed which tied in beautifully with the bridesmaid dresses. They also hired in black chairs for the wedding breakfast room which worked really well against the white table linen and table decorations which were kept simple with greenery and candles.
THE WEDDING BREAKFAST…
Stacey and Luke put a lot of thought into their food choices for the wedding breakfast, opting to give their guests a choice and selecting some of their own favourite dishes for them to pick from. They chose the following menu which features some very cosy and warming dishes - perfect for the time of year!
STARTERS
Leek & potato soup, bread roll
Salmon fishcakes, citrus mayo
MAINS
Posh Penny’s bangers and mash, onion gravy
Sirloin of beef, duck fat roasted potatoes, root vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, thyme jus
They had a couple of vegetarian guests so they had vegetarian sausages with mash and onion gravy which went down a treat especially for the time of year
DESSERTS
Sticky toffee pudding, vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce
Apple and blackberry crumble, vanilla custard
For the evening buffet, they selected our Market Food option and picked the Mexican and the Northern Supper again catering for many different tastes. They gave us mini sombreros and flat caps to put out on the buffet table for a bit of fun for the guests.
GETTING THE PARTY STARTED…
Couples often forget about the evening room turnaround in terms of keeping their guests entertained but not Stacey & Luke, they made sure everyone got in the party spirit. Our beer & prosecco pong was thoroughly enjoyed by all - especially by our bride and groom who took the competition very seriously…
Leaving a large dancefloor for the evening was a big must for this lovely couple as their guests were looking forward to party. After the first dance to ‘Dancing on my Own’ by Calum Scott, everyone took to the dancefloor until the early hours.
